People who help with advice and action, before one wants to let the hope go and steal a lowered head from the library, it is recommended to first head for the library supervisor or another student. Finally, if that fails, it will be possible to consult with the lecturer concerned about the problems with the literature search.

Citing scientific sources scientific work requires a critical examination of existing sources. Opinions or findings that are adapted for your own written work must be marked in this as a citation or a document.

What are the sources?

Sources are all materials that are included in the content of a (scientific) work, ie primarily technical literature, as well as unpublished texts, lecture notes and lecture notes, illustrations, tables, archive material, letters, radio and television reports, and video recordings

The organization of content in the essay

Especially for the preparation of exams – oral exams, but also written exams – you are usually required to submit an “essay”. Above all, the purpose of such a paper is to structure and focus your preparation for an exam topic and to align it with the auditor’s expectations. To put it more concretely, I would like to see from the Essay Help that you can usefully organize a multitude of information and reading results, that is, bundle them and put them into factual and argumentative contexts.

To emphasize your own intellectual order

However, it is not intended to be arbitrary, not “striving to be original”, but to describe the topic in the context and on the state of research. The term “essay” has established itself in the university but is in some ways misleading. The essay in the exam preparation is not supposed to smash theses in the form of short, sharply pointed assertions, but to structure a topic meaningfully in its scientific field. For a half page with four threefold theses is not enough (for the extent see below).

Precise argument

Instead of an essay, one could speak more precisely of a “topic structuring paper” or, more briefly, of a “theme paper”. These notes are written specifically for such theme papers. Much, however, also applies to other, neighbouring “papers” and text genres that you have to write at the university: e.g. short exposés for theses or major term papers, or essays as “hand-outs” to a seminar presentation.

Reproduction of sources

All sources used must be identified each time they are used in the text; both literally or analogously cited passages and mere thoughts of a foreign author are evidenced by proof of source (short document or footnote). A literal quote must correspond exactly to its template. It must reproduce the source in punctuation and wording – even in italics or underlining individual words – true to the original. Shorter verbal citations (up to 3 lines) are usually quoted.

Ensuring originality

In contrast, long quoted passages are usually marked without quotation marks by short-formatting and right-indentation over the rest of the text of a work. But after just a few weeks at the university, many high school graduates have stolen the illusions, and one person expresses what everyone thinks.

Sincerely, I would like to leave again: In these walls, these halls, I do not want to like it. It is very limited space, one sees nothing green, no tree, and in the halls and on the benches listening, seeing, and thinking to pass me by.

Citation of sources

Displeasure spreads and the group begins to complain loudly. An analogous quote or accepted thought must also be identified in a work. This happens in the form of the short document or the footnote. This proof is usually introduced with “cf.” (for comparisons). Quotes and indents omitted. Attracted by the turmoil, a high-school student enters the scene, looks at the scene for a moment, and teaches the despondent students in the manner of a Mephistopheles.
